Vale do Lobo

To start with, the meaning of vale do lobo is valley of the wolves, this is a little strange as there is very little wildlife in the region. This praia has won a tourist industry prize for enviromental awarness, which is known as a green globe award. 
The beautiful praia de vale do lobo stretches as far as the eye can see, with it's soft warm sandy beach and the deep  blue sea, were you can take part in the many water sport activities on offer, it is trully a great place to relax.
If you pack light for the beach with no parasol, beach chair or wind brake, dont worry, as most of the beach restaurants in this area have plenty of coconut parasols and long beach sun loungers already in place on there  beach frontage were you can stretch out and relax, so for a few euro per day to hire they are great value for money. Be warned if you do take your own beach gear you can only place it in the areas between the life guard stations and beach bar parasols, but this is well signed. Close to vale do lobo is vale do garrao which is also known as paradise beach. You have the towns of Quarteira and Almancil closest, then Vilamoura, all within a ten minute drive from these beaches.
